The State of Origin – The Perfect Post Election Audience Grab.

The mornings are getting colder, the footy season has started and “Winter is coming”, not just because we have close to six weeks of elections ads to get through! Advertising during this period is always tricky, and avails are limited. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel – the State of Origin. We all know how much banter and media the series gets, so having access to offers during this period is gold. And there are some great advertising packages available. Nine is now Australia’s number 1 in reaching Free-to-Air BVOD, with access to more than 13,000,000 engaged Australians. Commencing June 8th at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, the series covers five weeks, closing July 13th at Suncorp. Nine, as always, has offered some great packages and given the explosion of VOD content, you’ll have to jump in quick. Packages start at just $35,000 (BOVD only). Tier Two BOVID only is $45,000, and Tier Three is $75,000. Integrated packages are also available for those advertisers with larger budgets.

State of Origin matches, outside of the NRL Grand Final, closed out the top five spots for Nine last year, so they are expecting similar if not more significant numbers this year. And the audience profile is excellent for many advertisers, getting you in front of all people and primary grocery buyers 25-54 at the perfect time as they catch up on the match highlights and replays.
